If it does not work initially, my apologies, I am experimenting, so please come back later! I am starting off with YouTube as my video server and I can’t control what they might suggest to you at the end (not yet anyway!)

Hi Mark,
A series of videos that complement your written word, along the lines you have suggested, would seem an interesting and useful way to go. However, I do find the written word more helpful when there is a more complex subject that requires rereading several times. I just think you need to work on the delivery of your one liners that’s all !!
Fully support the idea – some of us ‘older members of society’ retain the spoken word better than having to re-read an article half a dozen times in order to get to grips with the salient points.
Personally, I’m looking forward to the launch of the new format.
A discussion on the future of the Bond Market in the next few years given lowering interest rates but possible re-emergence of inflation in Tarif bound America and debt bound Britan would be useful to me.
Hi Greg, as it happens, I have seen a swathe of commentary on bond markets following Trump’s victory and the markets themselves have expressed a pretty instant reaction with the yield curve on US Treasuries (the difference between long term and short term rates) widening sharply. It’s a little early for me to form a concrete opinion, but I will certainly be covering this subject in the near future. As you may know, a rising yield curve chart is said to be a predictor of recessions – scary!
Hi Mark,
Re video – it didn’t work unless I turned off the VPN but no surprise there.
In general I prefer the words which I can mull over and reflect on at my own pace and reread easily. I think they’re better for communicating detail and complexity with precision. I’m aware though of a current strong tendency to communicate via video. For example I sometimes consume some content from Matthews Asia which is often available in both word & video formats. The word format always contains more content and I never gain anything extra from the facial expressions of the presenters who are just concentrating on reading the words correctly from the screen. I suppose you might find a video easier to put together than wordsmithing an article. Of course if it was a live Q & A or discussion say I’d prefer a video so does depend on the content.
